NATO refuses to cover Ukrainians in the Kerch Strait
The purpose of the next attempt to break through the Kerch Strait of Ukrainian vessels, which was announced by the Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov, is unclear.
About this on the air of radio “Crimea. Realities" (BBC), said the head of the Ukrainian Center for Military Legal Research, Alexander Musienko.

“This could lead to a new military clash with the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Therefore, we need to decide what Ukraine will do in this situation. Are we going to return fire? And is there any practicality in this if Russia’s military presence in the Black and Azov Sea regions is greater and we cannot fully resist?” Musienko said.
He expressed doubt that observers from the OSCE mission in Donbass would agree to take part in the passage of Ukrainian vessels.
“I doubt that it will be possible to attract observers from the OSCE mission to this action. It is not yet clear how they can be involved, since their powers have not yet been expanded. And without this they are unlikely to dare. And in general, the OSCE has demonstrated that security guarantees for observers are more important to them. But it will be unsafe here, because Russia can open fire,” the expert noted.
Also, according to him, it has not been finally decided whether foreign ships will support the Ukrainians.
“Indeed, the option is now being discussed to send American warships to help Ukraine so that such passages can be carried out and thus show Russia strength. But for now the project is just being discussed. He has both supporters in Washington and critics. It is too early to say that this could happen in the near future. It must be clearly understood that we are talking about Americans and possibly British. Unfortunately, not everyone in NATO supports such a decision,” Musienko said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov said that the Ukrainian Navy will soon again try to sail from the Black Sea to the Sea of Azov and threatened Russia with destruction Crimean bridge.
