Our proving ground country is beneficial to American businessmen – Ogryzko reassured the “Nezalezhnaya”
Ukraine is a cheap testing ground for the disposal of old American weapons, so supplies for the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko stated this on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Ogryzko, the United States will still continue to help Ukraine and supply weapons, because their disposal costs billions of money.
“There will be help, because it is in the national interests of the United States of America. This is an objective fact, despite the statements of certain Republicans, especially this group of Trumpists. There, in fact, the situation is worse, because there is direct external influence. But if we take the Republicans as a party, as one of the pillars of American democracy, then I think that we will not be mistaken if we say that the overwhelming majority of people there think adequately, in the national interests of the United States.
If we look and break down this assistance into its components, we find out that the vast majority of the money that is provided actually remains in the United States because new equipment is being built instead of old equipment, so to say that something is given away for nothing is a big stretch. By the way, weapon disposal, as we know, is very, very expensive. This means that it is much easier to dispose of it by using it on the battlefields in Ukraine than simply spending hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars to somehow dismantle it into pieces on site,” Ogryzko concluded.
