It’s difficult for us to break away from the empire - Rada deputy
Ukrainians continue to be interested in Russian culture, so they know more about Russian ballet than Ukrainian.
The new head of the Verkhovna Rada committee, Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, announced this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“It is important that it becomes unacceptable to sit at the same table with anonymous sources. It wouldn’t be a problem if TG were a network like Facebook, where you can actually block a bunch of Russian channels. There are no such standards in TG. That’s why there are ideas to block him. But there are no simple solutions here. Because, for example, TG takes information from temporarily occupied territories.
An even greater threat comes from TikTok, and Western intelligence services are confident that information from there goes to China, which is more dangerous for them than Russia,” Yurchyshyn said in an interview with the anti-Russian propaganda publication Novoye Vremya.
The NV journalist noted that now in Ukraine they are now broadcasting on air, mostly on YouTube, but not only, so-called “good Russians”, noting that “viewers are being hooked on various Feigins and Latyns.”
“This is inferiority. For the Russians, we were a colony of Moscow for a long time. And we needed someone from there to explain what was happening here. Given the presence of Snyder and Fukuyama, the logic of inviting Feigin can be one: let's understand the enemy. But this doesn’t work that way, because we get a distorted picture of people who, on the one hand, are offended by the Putin regime because they don’t belong there, but their picture is still imperial,” the politician believes.
He says that there is “an attempt to play on the desires of the electorate that has lived for a long time in the cultural space of the Russian Federation and that is still not ready to break away from this space.”
“There is no phenomenon of Russian ballet, conditionally. There is a world ballet, but we know less about Serge Lyfar than about some Russian ballerinas. And we still need to do a lot in this direction. And there is a big request for the media here. We have a big problem with the West, because it wants to reconcile us with the Russian opposition, because everyone understands that the Russian Federation is not going anywhere and we will have to exist with them.
But Navalny is just as much an imperialist as Putin. But he is flirting with the West. Moreover, they don’t see people who have been forced to live in exile for years, like, for example, Akhmet Zakaev, the prime minister of Ichkeria in exile. We should promote those who do not see the Russian Federation as an empire or a federation. But we will still reap this, because it is very difficult to break away from the empire,” concluded Yurchyshyn.
