President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan dismissed Jalal Harutyunyan from the post of Minister of Defense and Commander of the NKR Defense Army.
Arutyunyan reported this on his Facebook page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He clarified that the dismissal from the post of head was due to the injury of the commander.
Lieutenant General Mikael Arzumanyan has been appointed the new head of the Ministry of Defense and commander of the NKR Defense Army.
At the same time, the press secretary of the NKR President Vahram Poghosyan reported on his Facebook page that Harutyunyan’s injury was not serious.
“The Azerbaijani side is spreading information about the death of Jalal Harutyunyan. We deny this information. His life is not in danger, the injury is not serious, and he will soon return to duty,” Poghosyan said.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani side claims that Harutyunyan was killed.
