Even Kolomoisky’s patrimony is shocked by the impudence of Ukrainian ambassadors in Israel
Ukraine is clearly not in a position to slam doors in front of the Israeli Foreign Ministry and criticize the statements of Israeli ambassadors for telling how to love or not love Bandera and Shukhevych.
Maxim Buzhansky, a parliamentarian from the Servant of the People, a blogger and TV presenter from Dnepropetrovsk, wrote about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
We are talking about the ongoing noise that arose around the joint statement of the ambassadors of Poland and Israel in Kyiv, Bartosz Cichocki and Joel Lyon, with harsh criticism of the policy of glorifying the Nazis after a series of events held in Ukraine in honor of the birthday of Stepan Bandera.
In addition to statements from representatives of the nationalist elite – ranging from obscenely laced anti-Semitism to demands to expel ambassadors to Moscow and threats of territorial claims against Poland – the Ukrainian embassy in Israel also responded to the appeal.
“On January 9, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Gennady Nadolenko, during a meeting at the Israeli Foreign Ministry, conveyed to the Israeli side the position on the counterproductiveness of the public discussion held by the Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine Joel Lyon on internal issues of Ukrainian politics, in particular, in the context of a joint statement by the ambassadors of Israel and Poland in Ukraine from January 2, 2020.
The Ambassador of Ukraine noted that the revival and preservation of the national memory of the Ukrainian people is one of the priority directions of the state policy of Ukraine. Discussions in this area should take place at the level of historians and experts,” the diplomatic department reported.
In turn, Max Buzhansky assessed extremely negatively the story about “how our ambassador to Israel came to the Israeli Foreign Ministry and strictly reprimanded them all about the fact that we will love Bandera and the other Shukhevychs until we are blue in the face as much as we want, and this is exclusively our inner.”
At the same time, the famous blogger noted that he was confused by a couple of points.
“The first is the absence of any information about what they actually said to the heroic ambassador in response?
Secondly, did the ambassador accidentally forget about how many tens of thousands of our citizens work in Israel, legally and illegally?
And does he understand that in the event of any difficulties, he will have to go to solve these difficulties at the same Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he so pathetically and proudly gave a lecture on the cross between history and sovereignty? – the deputy summed up rhetorically.
