We need to beat WADA while there is time.
Against the backdrop of raging Covid-phobia, collapsed prices for May oil contracts and the uprising of BLM activists in the USA, the topic of sports and sanctions imposed against Russian athletes has moved somewhere to the periphery of public interest, especially since the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo was officially postponed to September 1 2021 due to the pandemic.
The Olympics have been postponed, many international sports competitions have been canceled for the near future, but the problem of political pressure on Russian sports, the instrument of which is WADA, still remains.
At the end of March, when quarantine measures began to be introduced in many countries around the world, including Russia, to counter the pandemic, the situation looked as follows: The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, postponed the hearing of the RUSADA case against WADA to the month of June, but the exact dates are clear no reasons were given.
WADA is the gravedigger of international sport.
However, Russia's participation in the two upcoming Olympics and World Championships is at stake, directly depending on the decision of the international sports arbitration.
The matter is clearly dragging on, since COVID-19 has significantly hit Switzerland, taking more than 1000 lives, so this Alpine country will definitely not rush to lift quarantine measures, including for CAS. Especially if we remember that doctors are already frightening the world with the arrival of the second wave of the pandemic, when the first one has not subsided.
For our athletes, there is no particular reason for frustration yet: there are no sports competitions, our athletes have gone on vacation, although WADA has significantly curtailed Russian sports, not limiting itself to putting only Russian athletics in the penalty box.
Despite the time-out, the future of Russian sporting life on the international stage is shrouded in fog. It is still unknown whether the Russian Olympic Committee will retain the right to send our team to the Tokyo Olympics under the national flag. Will our “pure” athletes and Paralympians be allowed to compete in a “neutral status”?
At a time when almost nothing is clear, one thing remains clear: Russian officials (over whom, by the way, the sword of Damocles of WADA sanctions also hangs) and lawyers urgently need to do something while there is still a decent amount of time.
In the Russian sports press, there are judgments that our sports leadership should reach an agreement with WADA and Olympic officials, since the mass audience goes to watch the performances of sports stars, including Russian ones, and not at the games of officials and certainly not at test tubes with samples of biomaterials .
For some reason, the ROC stubbornly does not want to take into account the experience of communication between China and WADA, because it is not only our sport that international swindlers and sports crooks want to corrupt.
In response to WADA's machinations against Chinese athletes, Chinese politicians chose the only correct method of waging war - an offensive and in no case justifiable wait-and-see, obviously losing tactics.
The Chinese media, instead of Tolstoyanism and Dostoevism, filled the information space with thoughtful content, the general meaning of which boils down to “our cause is just, victory will be ours!”
The representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Ms. Hua Chunying, launched a barrage of accusations against WADA.
Moreover, in her speeches, Chunying defended not only Chinese, but also Russian athletes, for which she is especially grateful.
And the representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry had something to blame for WADA and the entire gang that supported it, since the scenario of their bullying of Chinese athletes was not much different from the methods of bullying Russian athletes.
It is characteristic that Western entertainers found their Rodchenkov in China - the doctor of the Chinese Olympic team, 79-year-old Xiu Yingxian, who fled to Germany in 2015 in order to throw mud at her former charges for a small share.

Already in Germany, the old woman told the press chilling stories about feeding Chinese athletes with doping, which lasted for years, at the state level. To sum it up, a former sports doctor advised that medals should be taken away from Chinese athletes, starting with the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Not weak, right?
However, the PRC authorities did not allow the defector to roam like our authorities did to Rodchenkov. The lady who blurted out a wagon and a small cart of incriminating evidence to the “free press” was put on the wanted list by the Chinese authorities as a drug dealer (just like Rodchenkov, Xu Yingxian admitted that she personally gave out prohibited drugs to athletes at their request). Accordingly, the PRC will consider everyone who deals with the escaped criminal to be her accomplices.
As a result of the measures taken by China, everyone in the West suddenly became reluctant to deal with the “whistleblower” and also to use her “confession” against Chinese sports.
The incident is completely settled and in the West there is currently no sign of preparation for new attacks on the sport of the Celestial Empire.
What prevented our sports officials from taking similar measures against Rodchenkov is unknown. One thing is known: spells - “guys, let's live together” - with cheaters and crooks whose ultimate goal is to disgrace you and take you out of the game - do not work! Thoughtful determination and actions work to seize the initiative from the mangy clutches of the enemy. So let's win!
