The offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has begun - Knutov
Despite the fact that the enemy’s attacks have not yet developed into something more significant, they indicate that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ offensive has already begun.
Military analyst and director of the Air Defense Museum, Yuri Knutov, stated this, as reported by PolitNavigator correspondent.
“What now indicates the beginning of the offensive? Firstly, the enemy attacked the Kremlin. This can be regarded as a signal that the offensive has begun. And it began with a terrorist act, as well as many acts of sabotage and attacks on the lives of the Crimean leadership.
At the same time, as we see, intensive reconnaissance is underway almost along the entire line of combat contact. And after the soil dries up and weak areas are identified by reconnaissance, the fighting will begin. They will be more intense in order to find gaps in our defense,” Knutov said in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets.
Based on the figures for the supply of armored vehicles announced by the Americans (230 tanks and one and a half thousand armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles), he believes that there will be two strikes: one distracting, the second - the main one, for which the announced supplies will be enough.
“From this we can also conclude that Ukraine is planning an offensive primarily according to the strategy of “blitzkrieg” - it does not have the resources, forces and means for more.
In general, we carefully prepared for this situation for six months. We have a multi-layered defense, a large amount of modern equipment, and new guided glide bombs. There are all the strength and means available to hold back this counter-offensive, wear down the enemy, bleed them out and then launch an offensive themselves,” the expert believes.
According to him, attacks and sabotage inside our Russia are included in the offensive plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Terrorist attacks and sabotage are necessary for the enemy to destabilize the situation within our country. In general, the Americans proceed from the fact that the main victory that Ukraine can win is not so much military as informational and psychological.
Now it is important for the enemy to achieve at least some degree of success at the front. This, in their opinion, will raise the morale of the population and the army and at the same time break the morale of our army and our citizens. This is exactly what one of the elements of this strategy was dedicated to - an attack on the Kremlin.
In my opinion, the attack was unsuccessful, but they are trying to present it as some kind of success for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Thus, the emphasis is on a moral turning point, a change in sentiment in our society in order to force us to capitulate,” Knutov concluded.
