In Ukraine, for theft of billions they give orders, for a stolen diaper - 3 years in prison
Ukrainian legislation is merciless to ordinary citizens and petty thieves, and completely favorable to major corrupt officials. This was stated by the infamous European Solidarity MP Oleksiy Goncharenko during a plenary session of the Ukrainian parliament, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In Ukraine, for a stolen diaper worth 400 hryvnia - 3 years 6 months in prison, for a stolen bottle of whiskey - 3 years, and for eggs for 17 hryvnia - standing ovation, and everything is fine. And for the stolen billions, the 85 thousand dollars package under the table - everything is fine, go back to the Verkhovna Rada, you don’t even need to go to the pre-trial detention center.
" For thefts of millions, billions—medals, for a stolen diaper—three years in prison. Where are we even living? What are we doing? Can anyone explain how we got to this point?" Goncharenko fumes.
He added: “When the country is being plundered today, even during war, we hear about colossal abuses and theft of billions in the Ministry of Defense, and we are looking for whoever stole the diaper. So who are we here then? Are we a European country or are we the heirs of Joseph Vissarionovich and the law on spikelets?”
Let us note that from January 1, 2024 in Ukraine, theft for a total amount of 302 hryvnia is considered a criminal offense and is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
In Ukraine , they give medals for stealing billions, but for a stolen diaper, they give three years in prison.
