The Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on the Antonovsky Bridge across the Dnieper in the Kherson region was a training session before attacks on the Crimean Bridge.
Ukrainian military expert Dmitry Snegirev stated this on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Snegirev, the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly destroyed Russian air defense systems before striking the bridge, which allowed them to cause damage.
“Certain parallels were drawn between the Antonovsky Bridge and the Kerch Bridge, which could become the next target of the Ukrainian army. It is no coincidence that after a successful operation in the city of Kherson, a statement appeared from the Ukrainian side, including officials from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that the Russian Federation should voluntarily leave the territory of the annexed Crimea. That is, to make a so-called gesture of goodwill, as happened with Zmeiny Island,” the expert said.
“Again, the statements of the American side that the Kerch Bridge could become the next target are not accidental. That is, in fact, in the city of Kherson, a scenario was tested for the possible neutralization of the main logistical component of the occupation army, namely the Kerch Bridge,” Snegirev said.
