Ukraine will be able to create a strong alliance with Belarus to spite Russia if it achieves the conclusion of a “dynastic marriage” between the youngest son of Alexander Lukashenko and the daughter of Vladimir Zelensky.
Political scientist Kost Bondarenko wrote about this on his Facebook page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I continue to insist that Ukraine made a historical mistake by supporting the “Belarusian people” rather than Alexander Lukashenko. What does betting on this amorphous category without its own essence give us, in terms of strategy? What good will Tikhanovskaya give Ukraine? I am already silent that in geopolitical games around Belarus we are extras, if not outsiders.
But there is another way! In the summer of 2022, Alexandra Vladimirovna Zelenskaya and Nikolai Alexandrovich Lukashenko will get their passports. In the best traditions of European courts, an interstate union based on marriage can be initiated.
This is a fundamentally different form of integration, much more profitable than that proposed by Russia. What can Putin offer to Lukashenko, besides divorced Katie, who is 18 years older than Kolya? Therefore, we urgently need to change our concept of Belarus,” Bondarenko wrote.
