In Ukraine, 700 thousand postage stamps with obscene language addressed to a Russian warship were sold
Ukrposhta announced the termination of the sale of stamps with the obscene phrase “Russian warship, go fuck yourself!” In total, approximately 700 thousand of these stamps were sold in Ukraine. This was announced by the General Director of Ukrposhta Igor Smelyansky.
“I once again want to thank all those tens of thousands of people who came to us in Kyiv and other cities to buy our “ship” brand. Not without mistakes, but we did everything to ensure that the largest number of people received it. As of now, about 700 thousand stamps have already been sold and the sale of stamps in our branches has been completed!2 – wrote Smelyansky.
The general director of Ukrposhta noted that the branch on Maidan in Kyiv will sell stamps to those 1500+ customers who were unable to receive them and signed up for the list.
100 thousand marks will be allocated for the online store. From Thursday, April 21, those who previously placed an order in the first days will be able to purchase stamps (2 sheets per order) in the online store, and from Friday, April 1, any customers in Ukraine or abroad.
The rest of the circulation will be used for official delegations and museum funds. A small part will be allocated to support marketing campaigns with Ukrainian manufacturers and entrepreneurs.
According to Smelyansky, there will be no additional circulation of this stamp, but the series with the ship will be continued.
Postage stamp “Russian warship, go fuck yourself!” in Ukraine they were put into circulation on April 12 and are considered a successful PR campaign. The demand for it especially increased among nationalist-minded Ukrainians after Russia lost two Black Sea Fleet ships, including the fleet flagship, the cruiser Moskva. Ukrainians consider this their military merit.
