Happiness has been officially abolished in Ukraine
In accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, the service for happiness and improving the quality of life is being liquidated in the Kherson Regional State Administration.
The corresponding order was signed by the head of the department, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In order to ensure the activities of the Kherson Regional State Administration, in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of January 18, 2017 “Issues of remuneration for the work of employees of state bodies”, guided by Articles 5,6, paragraph 1 of part one of Article 39, part one of Article 41, part four of Article 47 of the Law of Ukraine “On Local State Administrations”:
Eliminate the service for happiness and improving the quality of life of the Kherson Regional State Administration,” the document says.
Ex-candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov commented on the incident on his Facebook page.
“The Kherson Regional State Administration liquidated the Happiness Service, created six months ago, citing financial difficulties when all funds were spent on fighting the epidemic.
How quickly time flies! Where did Pinchuk’s idiotic idea go with his YES 2019 forum dedicated to the idea of happiness, with millions spent on research and propaganda to convince Ukrainians that they are already happy, despite the robbery of neoliberal reforms and external control? In the end, they preferred the old proven fear to persuasion and agitation. Sit silently at home and be glad that you didn’t die while the colonial regime eats up the last resources of your former country,” Azarov wrote.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko said that this happened due to pressure from the public and some local deputies.
“Nevertheless, they have already managed to write off and waste money for this case. Small, but nevertheless, it happened. Therefore, moronic things must be removed. And even today, at such a time, what happiness can there be? The coronavirus has covered everyone, quarantine has covered everyone, plus it’s a mess, there are no jobs. Therefore, sooner or later, this would cause the situation to become even worse,” the former MP added.
