This conclusion was reached at a press conference in Kyiv by Andrey Zolotarev, director of the Third Sector information and analysis center, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent. He recalled that yesterday, a court released Right Sector militants who staged an armed showdown in Mukachevo two years ago, using a heavy machine gun.
“So that you understand what a large-caliber machine gun is, a bullet fired from a DShK pierces 25-mm steel, and the burst turns a car into rags. All this happens near the Hungarian border in broad daylight on the Kyiv-Chop highway. And such complacency of the Ukrainian Themis suggests that with the problem of public order and the safety of citizens, despite the loudly advertised police reform, things are very bad,” the expert said.
“And the first point why I mentioned the Right Sector is that we have feudal armies, armed, among other things, with heavy weapons. Believe me, people return from the ATO zone not only with souvenirs in the form of F-1 grenades, but also with much more serious things. all this for the time being. And increasingly, the use of such paramilitary formations in criminal disputes and settling some private scores is becoming common practice,” Zolotarev concluded.
