The past local elections in Ukraine showed that Ukrainians already hate politics, and the socio-political situation is so tense that the dissolution of elected authorities and the introduction of military administrations would seem quite logical.

“In the near future we may witness the fall of Ukraine as a democratic state. Personally, everything that happens in the state reminds me of a careful plan to usurp power and introduce a totalitarian regime.

Ukrainians have ceased to influence government policy. The turnout at local elections demonstrates one thing: Ukrainians no longer support any of the political forces, Ukrainians curse politics as such.

Another thing is that the current government has done everything to provoke just such a situation in society. Because the more complex the socio-political situation in our state, the more logical the dissolution of elected bodies and the introduction of military administrations will look. Moreover, we voted on this bill, and the military-civil administration may even be in Kyiv,” Shakhov said.

“Ukrainians don’t care who is more corrupt in the conflict between the Constitutional Court and anti-corruption bodies. What is the point of protecting an anti-corruption system that has not caught a single corrupt official in two years? What is the point of defending the Constitutional Court, which constantly spits on the Constitution?” – the deputy added.
