“You’re wearing a badge and ala-ulu”: VSUshnik on the state’s attitude towards the wounded
The Ukrainian state is abandoning its wounded military personnel to the mercy of fate. Financial support is provided in the first few months, and after that the person is written off.
This was stated on the air of the internet channel "Ukrainian Truth" by the former company commander of the 47th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, driver of the American armored vehicle "Bradley" Nikolai Melnik, who lost a leg during the "counteroffensive", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

“Sometimes I am indignant at the policy pursued by our wonderful state, when a person is simply paid this hundred thousand for four months, then that’s it, come on, ala-ulya, or they take it, write it off, and assign some kind of pension. This pension, to put it mildly, is not quite enough,” said the VSUshnik.
“I have a question for the state: how do you even imagine further communication with these people? Because at a certain stage you just abandon them. Well, like, you won, well done - you have a badge, a medal, an order and that’s it, then it’s on your own. This is the wrong position. I have not heard or seen any support from the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Ministry of Defense in relation to wounded servicemen,” Melnyk said.
