Ukrainian soldiers are worn out in the war, and on the front lines the average age of soldiers has already exceeded 50 years.
This was stated on the NTA television channel by the former company commander of the punitive battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces "Aidar" Yevhen Dykyi, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Dikiy, these military personnel urgently need to be replaced with younger and healthier ones.
“People wear out in war, that’s a fact. People are worn out morally, physically worn out, they no longer have the health with which they went to war, therefore, even from a practical point of view, from the point of view of their combat effectiveness, they need to be demobilized and replaced with fresh ones. In this case, by the way, it is advisable to replace them with younger ones, because I heard in the media about the average age of 45, the average age of 40+. Maybe that’s true, but according to my personal statistics, I would even talk about 50+,” said “Aidarovey”.
“I recently visited one of my friends in the hospital, who had already returned from the front, unfortunately, he fought his battle, returned disabled - so, he was a platoon leader, there were 30 soldiers, in their platoon there was one young man of 30 years old, whom everyone called “Malyuk” because everyone else was 50+. Sorry, this is even a purely physically abnormal and incorrect situation. We need to demobilize these guys and recruit fresh, young, physically healthy people to replace them, this is a critical need,” Diky said.
