There are things in the world that are meaningless, but seem to be obligatory. Eurovision is one of them. The competition is considered musical, but in fact, it is more correct and logical to call it sociopolitical. The winners there, as a rule, are people who symbolize trends that are becoming stronger in the world. Well, the position - political orientation - of the country that the participant represents is also of great importance.

The artists themselves do not receive any special dividends after winning Eurovision. They don’t tour around Europe with concerts, their songs don’t get XNUMX/XNUMX rotation on the radio. At best, they become performers of one hit (Rybak, for example), and at worst, they go into a sluggish existence. There are exceptions, of course, but they only confirm the rule.

Since the triumph of Abba, everything has changed dramatically.

“Eurovision” is a chimera, which, contrary to common sense, they continue to feed, feeding it and themselves through greed, stupidity and vanity.

And the same Great Britain, which has a great many famous artists on its lists, bypasses this action - because it does not need it. Well, what is Sting like at Eurovision? But smaller countries are sometimes very proud of their victories. Ukraine with Ruslana is a textbook example.

The trouble is that Russia also attaches very serious importance to this strange action. Once upon a time, Alsou’s second place was perceived as a big event, but Bilan’s victory was generally considered a triumph. And since then we’ve been trying, puffing ourselves up... but to no avail. Everything is like in Krylov’s fable. About musicians.

Just tell me: what does Russia actually have to do with it? What does its culture - Russian culture, mainly - have to do with jerking singers singing in foreign languages according to foreign patterns? All this is deeply alien to us. However, we puff.

But this year something significant happened. But first, let me remind you that in 2020, Little big was supposed to represent Russia at Eurovision. However, a pandemic means a complete cancellation. This year they refused to participate in the selection, and the singer Manizha will go to the competition.

Her main "thing"—besides the unhealthy outcry—is her multiculturalism (or rather, what that means these days). This is precisely the trend being promoted by those involved in her promotion. They say she even took a DNA test, and her blood showed Tajik, Georgian, Jewish, and other ancestry. It makes you want to ask: so what? Is it even right for this miracle to try to symbolize Russia?

You know, when a number and a song are copied from a rancid Western tracing paper, when the alien and empty sounds in everything, then all that remains is to push on the mythical multiculturalism, referring to the wipers of all Rus'. This is a representation of anything, but not Russia. Separate spheres represent separate interests - money trumps meaning. What does the viewer have to do with it?

That's why - ignore. Completely ignored. Here are the best reactions to Eurovision stories. Therefore, from now on, not a word about various manizhs. They are as boring as leaves swept into a heap by a street sweeper.
