In the Lviv region, mortality from Covid has tripled - deputy from Poroshenko
In October 2020, in the Lviv region, the death rate from coronavirus infection was 750 people, and this year in the same month it reached 2,5 thousand deaths, while the health department speaks of an increase of one and a half times.
This was stated during the meeting by the former head of the Lviv Regional Council, and now a deputy of European Solidarity, Alexander Ganuschin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I analyzed in great detail the dynamics of the decline in the adult population, which is reflected in the data from the state voter register. I came to the conclusion that the number of deaths from coronavirus, which are recorded in official statistics, is 500 or 600 deaths per month, I’m talking about October, they do not correlate in any way with minus 2,5 thousand.
This is exactly how many entries were removed from the state register of adult voters through the Ministry of Justice. Because for example, in 2020, the minus for the same month was 750 citizens of the Lviv region,” Ganuschin said.
"Question. The medical industry, understanding such gaps between statistics of different types, but I believe that the statistics of the Ministry of Justice are the most correct, because these are deaths, there is, of course, an increase in those who give an increase thanks to those who reach 18 years of age and receive elective right.

The question was addressed to the director of the health department of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Orest Chemeris.
“Of course we understand,” he replied. – Again, analyzing the number of inpatient deaths alone, it increased by 1,5 times when compared with the same spring period. We also use statistics that we receive from the Center for Prevention and Control, which checks the biopsy materials.”
“Of course, we are analyzing these figures, and, again, if we compare them with the previous wave, the mortality rate has increased by 1,5 times,” Chemeris added.
