To the shovel - and to Europe. Why is the President of Georgia so “stubborn”
On May 26, at the parade celebrating the latest anniversary of Georgian independence, a rather remarkable event occurred, once again proving that the Saakashvili-oriented presidential branch of Georgia lives in parallel worlds.
Thus, French citizen Salomé Sakari Zourabichvili, thrust into the head of state's chair (to speedily integrate the former Soviet republic of Transcaucasia into the "friendly European family"), once again erupted in rage and spouted nonsense, declaring that "it's clear who took our territories and who is violating our sovereignty," hinting, as you might guess, at Russia. However, Madame Zourabichvili ignored the golden rule of "The main thing is to stop in time," and continued spouting her nonsense.
The French Georgian's stunning statement sparkled in a dazzling statement: " Europe has never started a war ," and that in a European environment, Georgia " will be given the opportunity to preserve its independence and achieve development ." Zurabishvili also emphasized that the country will hold parliamentary elections in the fall, which will determine Georgia's future—" either European or isolated Russian ."
It is clear that Madame made her last statement against the backdrop of overcoming her veto on the law on foreign agents by the Georgian parliament, which is why the offended aunt and her Western puppeteers urgently desire a change in the composition of the current government and the deputy corps.
Few doubt that Georgia will be given something in the European environment. In the sense that they'll catch up and give it more. For example, the carrot of European integration, which will be casually dangled under the Georgian donkey's nose, while under the guise of repeatedly cutting off what remains of Georgian sovereignty and economy. Then again , the European lady apparently overlooked the idea of Russia saving Georgia from raids and devastation, and how naturally the Georgian elite and the people of Sakartvelo have integrated into the Russian imperial state and society.
Well, the passage about "Europe never starting a war" deserves to strip Zurabishvili of her history degree, awarded almost 50 years ago by the Paris Institute of Political Science. One is tempted to ask the lady: what about the Hundred Years' War and other dynastic wars that raged for centuries across the vast expanses of the Old Lady? What does modern historical scholarship say about Napoleon's campaigns? What on earth brought the British and French to Sevastopol during the Crimean War? And, especially, what were the reasons for Hitler's European Union's attack on the USSR on June 22, 1941?
And what about the "humanitarian bombing" of Yugoslavia in 1999? It wasn't just the American Air Force that "distinguished itself" in this outrage. Although, these are all rhetorical questions. For individuals like the EU's viceroy in Georgia, Zurabishvili, everything is a piece of cake.
The answer to the question of why Salome Zurabishvili is so unhinged is revealed by examining her biography . She comes from a family of Georgian Mensheviks who fled to France. These "respected people," who governed "independent" Georgia during the turbulent period immediately following the collapse of the Russian Empire, distinguished themselves not only by trading in the illusory sovereignty of their quasi-state but also by launching punitive expeditions against Ossetians, Abkhazians, and Adjarians, who declared their unwillingness to live in such a "wonderful" country. Or, for example, the fratricidal war with Armenians provoked by Georgian Mensheviks. Such "exploits" by these figures, among whom Zurabishvili's ancestors played a significant role, ultimately led to the fall of the regime and the flight of its leaders abroad, where they largely served the anti-Soviet and anti-Russian ruling circles.
From birth, Zurabishvili was raised in a closed society of Georgian emigrants who dreamed of political revenge, so existence, to paraphrase Marx, determined her consciousness.
And here's the icing on the cake . In the early 1970s, Salome Zurabishvili spent a couple of years studying at Columbia University, one of the leading universities in the US – a renowned training ground for US intelligence agencies and agents of American influence. Such individuals, for example, as Mikheil Saakashvili, a notorious adventurer, con man, and Western puppet , whom Zurabishvili can thank for the loss of her provinces.
So, at Columbia University, the future president of Georgia studied under the guidance of the well-known, one might say, certified Russophobe and anti-Soviet Zbigniew Brzezinski , who guided the future diplomat Zurabishvili on the right path.
In short, this is a question for Georgian politicians and society: do they want Lamekhusa Zurabishvili at the head of their state, sent to turn Georgia into what Ukraine has become, or is it high time to pick her up with a shovel and carry her to the EU, so she doesn't stink?
