In Streletskaya Bay there was a base for surface ships of the Ukrainian Navy.
“The command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces should be accused of criminal inactivity and bear responsibility under the law for the inglorious surrender of the Ukrainian Navy. You can lose battles with dignity, or you can lose them with shame. Instead of bringing the glorious Ukrainian sailors to the continent with their heads raised, the command of the armed forces stupidly dumped them. Officers who contacted the command say that when asked about further actions they were told: do what you want,” Facebook user Petr Koshukov commented on the events in Sevastopol.
The Russian flag is expected to be raised today over the former Ukrainian Navy Academy, which will now once again become the Nakhimov Higher Naval School.
