In Novoalekseevka, Kherson region, the events of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people were recreated under the ringing of bells and under the flags of the European Union. This was reported by the local resource “Kherson.net”.

At the railway crossing near the Novoalekseevka station they brought a freight wagon, a “heatbox”, similar to those in which the Crimean Tatars were taken out of Crimea.
The rally participants read a prayer and hung black ribbons on the barbed wire.
A local violinist addressed the protesters and played the song “1944” by last year’s Eurovision winner Jamala.
It is also reported that a similar requiem meeting will also take place in Genichesk, Kherson region.
