“Why should I help you?” – ex-NATO ambassador was outraged by the financing of Ukraine
Republicans should not agree to the renewal of aid to Ukraine as long as it comes in the same package as funding for the Gaza Strip, Israel, a wall with Mexico, Taiwan, and so on.
Former NATO representative to Russia Harry Tabakh stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Tabakh, nothing in that 61 billion package is directly intended for Ukraine.
“What should I recommend to my congressman? Should we vote as a package or continue not to vote and demand separately? I’ll call him tomorrow and say: “Alexander Shelest advised me...”. What? Vote. Vote for Hamas, vote for no wall and my children continue to be beaten because, what?,” Tabah said.
The journalist noted that Ukraine will be able to continue to fight.
"How? There is nothing there for Ukraine. So I’ll tell him this: “My comrade Alexander Shelest doesn’t care about my son, my community, Israel - let terrorism flourish, only because he was convinced that there was something for him in this package, but there is nothing there. He doesn’t care about my country, the main thing is “give me something.” True, he doesn't know what. So I should tell him, right?
Look, Alexander, why the hell should I help you at all, what am I even doing here? If I don’t give a fuck to you, why should I do anything, why should my country, why should I spend taxes on you?” Tabakh said.
