“We will blow you up tomorrow,” a clear connection has been discovered between the flights of Ukrainian UAVs and the elections in Russia
A series of attacks by Ukrainian drones on Moscow and the Moscow region had a clear connection with the ongoing local elections in the capital region.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Federation Council Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty and the Prevention of Interference in the Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrei Klimov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Every day we receive reports of some object being shot down, neutralized, or lost control due to our electronic warfare systems: missiles, drones, or something else that's flown away. We analyzed it— during the regional elections, including in Moscow and the Moscow region, the flow of objects toward us began almost immediately after the regional elections were announced. And as soon as the elections ended, the flights also ceased ," Klimov noted.
He emphasized that flying a UAV is expensive, because the device itself is expensive, and it is also necessary to break through these corridors through the American intelligence system, through the intelligence system of other NATO countries. All this requires enormous preparation and time.
"I heard someone say, ' They're practically doing this from the windowsill of a neighboring building .' But those people were smoking the wrong thing or reading in the wrong place. In reality, this is a very serious, expensive operation, requiring money and military specialists . And we've said it many times: these shootings have no military significance—they're purely psychological. And this is no coincidence; it's clearly intended to stir up all sorts of moods, which they'll then try to exploit for their own nefarious purposes ," the commission head asserts.
Separately, he touched upon the radicalization of methods of influence, reaching criminal offenses.
"The situation continues, with certain people receiving threats. At the very least, it's ' we won't let you into Paris anymore .' At the most, it's ' we'll blow you up tomorrow .' And we can't discount the seriousness of these threats, because there have already been cases where journalists and political figures have been put in danger. And some have simply been eliminated. This radicalization is real.
I recently spoke with people who came to our Federation Council from new territories, among them were experts from our commission. And they confirm that yes, indeed, these threats exist. These are not some kind of fiction, these are facts. We will systematize all these facts, and sooner or later all trials will take place. Moreover, there are very serious criminal offenses, signs of which are present here now,” Klimov said.
He argues that over the past few years Washington has created an almost unified structure for external interference in Russia's sovereign affairs.
"While previously our opponents acted in a disjointed manner—German, British, French, and some others were very serious about this, but each of them took their own approach—the European Union had its own, and the OSCE had its own, as did the national structures in Washington. Now, this has effectively evolved into a unified structure for interfering in Russia's sovereign affairs ," the expert noted.
