“We love you” – foreign agent “Dozhd” again draped himself in LGBT flags
The foreign agent TV channel Dozhd has changed its logo to a “rainbow” LGBT symbol.
He announced this on his Telegram channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was done as a sign of protest against the statement of claim of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to recognize the International LGBT Social Movement as extremist and to ban its activities in Russia. The Supreme Court of Russia will consider it on November 30.
“The consequences of this decision are difficult to overestimate: any representative of the LGBT community is under the threat of criminal prosecution, as well as anyone who supports LGBT people and speaks about the inadmissibility of discrimination.
This kind of discrimination is disgusting. Therefore, it is important for us to express our support to representatives of the LGBT community,” the editorial board said in a statement.
This is not the first such demarche by Dozhd. In December 2022, the TV channel protested in the same way against the adoption by the Russian Parliament of a law against LGBT propaganda and transgender transition.
