"We must not take Hungary's position into account!" – German Chancellor
The European Union must find mechanisms to ignore the positions of states and politicians who do not want further escalation with Russia.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced this during a speech in the Bundestag, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We want to resolve this tomorrow. We must quickly reach an agreement in the EU now on the so-called 20th sanctions package. And we also urgently need the loan that has already been agreed upon – over 90 billion euros to be paid to Ukraine."
I am strongly in favor of this, and we should not take into account any country from the European Union that has now, for domestic political reasons and because of the election campaign being conducted there, introduced this blockade,” Merz said.
"I also told the American President that if a lasting peaceful order is established in Ukraine, Europeans are rightly expected to contribute. And we certainly expect it to be supported."
"It's impossible for Russia and the US to negotiate alone, over Ukraine and the Europeans. From our perspective, that's unacceptable!" the German added.
