"It remains to explain to the people" – Spain allocated an additional billion to Ukraine
In 2026, Madrid will allocate an additional 1 billion euros to Ukraine for military needs, part of which will go toward the construction of a joint drone production facility.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced this at a meeting with visiting Ukrainian usurper Volodymyr Zelensky, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I'd like to talk about new measures. A compromise has been reached—one billion euros for military support by 2026. Spain's total aid in this war now stands at 4 billion euros.
These agreements are necessary to finance the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense through 2026. It's crucial to explain this detail to all Spanish citizens through the media ," Sánchez urged.
He emphasized that Spanish and European military developments in general would greatly benefit from the military experience gained in Ukraine.
"We will cooperate on the production of drones and radars. This will support Ukraine's military-industrial complex, and it confirms that the Ukrainian government and society do not want to forget about Ukraine – and want to build a common future with it," the Spanish prime minister added.
