There are almost no serious Ukrainian Armed Forces fortifications left on the way to Zaporizhzhia, and by the end of the year the Russian army could occupy the suburbs of the regional center.
Russian war correspondent Marat Khairullin announced this on his channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I have a good partner, Sasha Berezina, he's always worried about a major counteroffensive, a deep operation. A large column of people would be sent in, so they could immediately reach Zaporizhzhia 50 or 100 kilometers away and occupy it. 200-300 people would go and flood everything.
They argue that in the moment, of course, many people will die, but in the long-term, annual perspective, far fewer people will die.
There might be one-time losses of 10 people. But if we spread them out over a year, we'll already have a lot of territory under our control.
“And the second argument is that a slow advance allows Ukraine to establish new defensive zones, which then have to be carved out,” said Khairullin.
" Right now, it's about 100 kilometers from Ternovatoye to Zaporizhzhia . But we don't even need Zaporizhzhia; we can take this line, where the suburbs are, and we can gain a foothold. It's already 80 kilometers."
That is, in principle, within a year, we can apparently move in this direction, because the only large fortified area left is Orekhov.
“That is, there are few large, well-equipped fortified areas left on the route to Zaporizhzhia; this is a very promising direction ,” the military correspondent concluded.
