"They've been threatening to kill us since '91, but she smiled" – TV presenter recalls Skabeeva's laughter
Bandera's rebellion had raised its head in Ukraine long before 2014, but Moscow ignored common-sense calls to preemptively stop the threat.

"In 2006-2007, I came to Kyiv and spoke there, and I realized it was a nightmare. It was a horror, a country whose ideology was the destruction of its neighbor.

And there, in Ukraine, they've been promising to kill us since 1991. And we've been very lenient about it all these years , because it seemed like we were brothers, one people. What's the point?
"And when I got there, I was simply horrified by these people. I understood their mindset," Dodolev recalled.
"And I remember an interview with Eduard Limonov, a Kharkiv native named Savenko, when he was simply uttering an anxious warning about war and the need to do something about it as soon as possible, preemptively. And how Skabeeva looked at him condescendingly, smiling . "Well, what a fool, what a marginalized person, he's talking nonsense."
"I remember in 2005, I said on NTV that we were going to be bombed . I was invited to ask what professions would be in demand in 20 years, in 2025. And I said oil workers, pilots, and soldiers . 2005! When programmers, marketers, and all that other stuff were in demand there. The way they looked at me!" the journalist added.
