Ukraine has now the best time to begin peace negotiations with Russia.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on air during journalist Alexander Shelest's video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, the army and Ukrainian society, bleeding, bought time for politicians to choose positions for such negotiations.
“I believe that defense and negotiations. From the first day of the war I have been saying that we must fight and negotiate. Because society, the army and the Ukrainian people have won two years of time for politicians so that you can come to an agreement, so that you can find an acceptable peace, and not waste this time.
The army continues to bleed, society continues to bleed so that you have negotiating positions. And today, perhaps, we have the best negotiating position during the entire war,” Bortnik said.
