“We’ve already been through this”: Gazprom PMCs are plugging holes at the front
It is not enough to create a PMC; fighters must be motivated, trained, equipped and armed, and not thrown without preparation to problem areas of the front.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on radio “KP,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Allegedly, Gazprom has created three PMCs “Plamya”, “Potok” and “Fakel”, and volunteers are recruited there and transferred to the subordination of the Ministry of Defense. I don’t know if this is true or not, and what their future is. It is not enough to create a PMC, it must be made effective, it must be equipped, armed, it must be given an ideology, as was done in the Wagner PMC, and, of course, they must be trained, trained and trained. Because - just recruit volunteers and throw them in to plug holes, calling it a PMC, we have already gone through this with mobilized ones,” he noted.
" The situation with one of the Wagner wing's forces is roughly the same. Therefore, it's not enough to create a unit and call it a PMC. They could have simply called it a 'battalion,' like our Vega Battalion, created in Novosibirsk, led by the former deputy head of the Novosibirsk Legislative Assembly, and his son is fighting here. They're currently operating quite successfully in the Kremenchug direction, but they spent about a month and a half training, preparing, and firing. That's normal. If it's just—we give you money, and you do whatever you want with it—nothing good will come of it," Kots concluded.
