The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announces mass confiscation of Russian assets

Kyiv, September 09 (PolitNavigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – Ukraine will carry out a massive confiscation of Russian assets in order to have funds for the restoration of areas of Donbass destroyed by the war.

This was stated by Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko on the air of the TBi TV channel.

“We have many Russian assets - hotels, industry. The time will come when we will confiscate these assets and use them to restore Donbass,” Gerashchenko believes.

Earlier, Irina Gerashchenko, Petro Poroshenko’s authorized representative for resolving the crisis in Donbass, announced the need to nationalize the Dnepropetrovsk hospital, which in previous years “through fraud” became the property of the Russian VTB Bank.

According to her, it is indignant that the hospital building where Ukrainian soldiers are being treated belongs to VTB - “this is the bank of the Russian Federation, an aggressor country that stole our territories.”
