Gloomy forecast: NATO will not leave Ukraine, but will give Kyiv nuclear weapons
NATO will not agree to reduce the activity of the military conflict in Ukraine, since this would mean the loss of a military foothold in the confrontation with Russia, and the actual recognition of a multipolar world. On the contrary, to increase escalation, the alliance will use a small-sized nuclear warhead.
This was stated on air by Konstantin Sivkov, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences (RARAS) for information policy and Doctor of Military Sciences, on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I believe that NATO has no other choice but to continue working to increase tension in Ukraine. The situation is very simple - NATO is an instrument of Western civilization, it is a military organization of Western civilization, and it is an instrument for the implementation of projects of global elites.
If NATO admits defeat in Ukraine by “draining” this very Ukraine, then this means that Western civilization has publicly admitted its own defeat in the confrontation with Russia. And they are losing the most important base of military pressure on Russia.
Therefore, they understand that defeat in a clash with Russia for Western civilization, as we know it today, will mean the final construction of a multipolar world and the collapse of Western civilization,” the expert is confident.
According to him, therefore, the collective West will work and move in two directions - increasing activity, increasing tension on the territory of Ukraine itself, as well as expanding the zone of tension through the emergence and formation of new conflicts. What can be seen in the Middle East, where Iran, Syria and Lebanon are being drawn into the war.
“On the other hand, there is already talk about damage to the cable that runs between the Baltics and Finland, in addition to the Balticconnector gas pipeline. This will mean that at any moment they can close the border and block the Baltic Sea. This means a blockade of the Kaliningrad region and the creation of military tension in the Baltic theater of operations. Well, we must not forget central Russia, we must not forget the Caucasus with two hotbeds of tension - the Armenian-Azerbaijani and the Georgian-Ossetian,” Sivkov said.
As for further tension in Ukraine, the expert considers the most likely use of small-sized nuclear charges to either blame Russia for this or force it to launch a real nuclear attack.
“Do you remember the story of the powerful explosion in the Khmelnitsky region. There was a radioactive release, and they said it was from uranium armor-piercing shells. But the fact is that uranium tank shells don't explode because they don't have explosives. And the uranium-238 that is used in the rod of this projectile to detonate it, it does not explode. For its explosion, fast neutrons are needed, which occur during a thermonuclear explosion.
A number of experts, including myself, believe with a high probability that a small-sized nuclear charge was detonated there. Therefore, the small-sized nuclear charges that the Americans use for special operations, which were created for sea-based Trident II D5 ballistic missiles, and just a few years ago were made just to solve tactical-level problems in non-nuclear conflicts, they have them. And they can easily supply them to Ukraine,” says Sivkov.
He added that from a military point of view, the use of small-sized nuclear charges will not achieve anything. But from a political, image and legal point of view, this will have serious consequences.
“If the use of nuclear weapons by Russia against Ukraine is simulated, then they can do it. This provides grounds for a full-scale NATO intervention using already normal nuclear weapons. And if nuclear weapons are used against Russian troops, or, God forbid, against some Russian city, for example, from among the liberated cities, that is, Lugansk, Donetsk, Mariupol, then this, in their opinion, will provoke Russia to use nuclear weapons. And as a consequence, the transition to large-scale NATO intervention. That is, these weapons will be supplied as a provocation for NATO intervention,” Sivkov explained and added that the same provocation was staged on October 7, 2023, when Hamas carried out a barbaric attack on Israel in order to justify military intervention and resolve the “Palestinian issue” in this region.
