Moscow declared the main task in Crimea to stop the theft of budget funds
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation considers the main task of its structural divisions in Crimea and Sevastopol to be the fight against the theft of budget funds allocated by Moscow for the development of the peninsula.
This was stated by the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, at a meeting of the department’s board.

“Last year, on an emergency basis, we established the investigative department for the city of Sevastopol and the Main Investigation Department for the Republic of Crimea, investigative departments in the areas of these subjects, in which employees from 55 regions of Russia serve. The heads of these departments still have a lot to do, and most importantly, to ensure that possible financial abuses are prevented when disbursing funds in the amount of 700 billion rubles allocated for the development of the Crimean economy,” Bastrykin said.
Moscow has declared stopping the theft of budget funds its main goal in Crimea.
