Moskalkova spoke about a new algorithm for working with refugees from Donbass
The Human Rights Office has created a new toolkit for working with refugees from Ukraine and the LDPR.
Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova announced this today in the State Duma, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We were able to develop an algorithm of actions and understand what worries people in order to provide them with specific assistance. We go to every temporary accommodation center (TAP) and have set up a hotline specifically for these people around the clock,” Moskalkova said.
According to her, the department managed to help 2,5 thousand refugees out of 6 thousand who applied.
Including regarding placement in temporary temporary detention centers and transition from one point to another - more than 100 people. More than 1200 people received government payments.
“The non-payments were due to the fact that only the Rostov region distributed these payments. Now, based on our appeal, 7 more points have appeared that have speeded up this work,” said Moskalkova.
More than 100 refugees were employed, more than 300 received the status of temporarily displaced persons, and 130 people were helped to cross the border of the Russian Federation and Belarus. 700 helped with the evacuation.
“The problem of their long-term stay and status is acute and important. The government is already developing a law “On Asylum”. I ask you to consider it a priority,” Moskalkova addressed the deputies.
Deputy Oleg Leonov noted that refugees in the TAP lack basic household items.
“At the same time, customs continues to destroy the confiscated goods. We have already introduced a bill that proposes that everyday industrial goods confiscated at customs should not be destroyed, but transferred to charitable foundations,” Leonov said.
