Moldova is ruining Transnistria
The Transnistrian Foreign Ministry invited the Moldovan side to hold negotiations on February 8 in Tiraspol at the office of the OSCE mission.
This was reported by the TSV TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The PMR proposes to meet within an expert group on economics without political representatives and discuss the introduction of customs duties by Moldova, the blocking of Pridnestrovian exports and the banking blockade.
Tiraspol responded to all these aggressive steps by Chisinau by imposing duties on the import and export of Moldovan farmers renting land in Transnistria. They are already asking for compensation from their government.
The DMR's defensive actions have sparked fury in President Maia Sandu's pro-Western PAS party. Deputy Vitaly Jacot promised that the Moldovan authorities will find ways to inform “the gentlemen in Tiraspol so that they understand that they are acting in an incorrect way.”
“Tiraspol is absolutely aware of the fact that no one cancels customs duties. They are a logical continuation of the creation of a single regulatory space for the right and left banks. If in the past the government allowed them to provoke, this is not the case now,” Jacot said.
Meanwhile, due to the actions of Moldova, customs payments to the budget of Transnistria decreased by 18%.
According to the PMR Customs Committee, in January, imports of coffee and tea decreased by 85%, fertilizers by 64%, cotton by 51%, and pharmaceuticals by 23%. Sugar imports decreased 8 times. Imports of fuel and lubricants decreased by 43%, cigarettes - by 60%. Individual entrepreneurs reduced imports of clothing and shoes by 65%, toys and sports equipment by almost half. Exports of goods by entrepreneurs decreased by 87%.
Since the beginning of the year, the Vestra clothing factory has had no external trade operations. The trading performance of such companies as Odema (by 91%), Rybnitsa Garment Factory (by 86%), Farba Group (by 84%), Elektromash (by 77%), and VivaFarm (by by 73%), "Moldavkabel" (by 66%).
Moreover, according to Moldovan data, at the beginning of the year, companies from Transnistria paid 460 thousand dollars in duties to the Moldovan budget. In Chisinau they expect the amount to reach $7 million per year.
These figures refute the data of the “reintegration bureau” of Moldova that 70,48% of Transnistria’s exports and 55,99% of imports come from EU countries, and therefore, by law, should not be subject to duties.
According to the calculations of the PMR government, the damage to the republic could amount to $33 million a year.
Direct subsidies from Russia to the Transnistrian budget amount to approximately 800-900 million dollars. 465 thousand people live in the PMR.
