Moldova provokes a tuberculosis epidemic in Transnistria
Moldova refused to allow a new generation X-ray machine into Transnistria for a tuberculosis dispensary, without which hundreds of people cannot undergo a lung examination.
This was reported by the Transnistrian television channel TSV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We did not come to any decision at the expert group. The Moldovan side is uncompromising in this case. They demand “compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova. Therefore, this question remained open. We proposed the option that was in August, when we imported an X-ray tube for a computed tomograph, but the Moldovan side did not support our proposals. Therefore, we will look for other opportunities,” says PMR Minister of Health Christina Albul.
Last summer, Chisinau did not allow an X-ray tube for a tomograph at the Tiraspol Veterans Hospital to pass through customs for three months. Now Chisinau officials are adamant in their demand that Transnistrian medical institutions register in Moldova.
The PMR authorities fear that the old X-ray machine at the Republican Clinical Hospital will soon stop working. 120 thousand citizens can no longer be examined. But the situation with tuberculosis in both Transnistria and Moldova is unfavorable: 50 cases of the disease are detected per 100 thousand population. This is fraught with an epidemic.
The PMR government allocated 3 million rubles for purchases to state programs in Italy. It intends to upgrade equipment in all areas. In particular, they are waiting for a new fluorescent camera in Parkany. However, apparently the X-ray judge for Tiraspol is waiting for him.
