The Ministry of Health of Ukraine invited doctors to study medical terminology from television series
Ukrainian Doctors can learn professional terminology with the help of television series.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Health announced this on its official Facebook page , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Most doctors are skeptical about TV series and films about doctors. At the same time, watching TV series can be not just an enjoyable activity, but also a useful learning format. The heroes of medical series use not only popular colloquial phrases, but also use medical terminology and conduct dialogues with patients. Gradually, you will remember many new words and phrases, and also learn to quickly understand what is being said from the context,” the department says.
Note that the examples given were such series as “House” and “Grey’s Anatomy”, as well as some other Western television series on medical topics.
One of the commentators on the article expressed outrage that the Ministry of Health is violating the Law of Ukraine “On Advertising” by popularizing other people’s media products on its official resources.
