A whole day has passed since the Ukrainian missile fell in Belarus, and we can already draw the first conclusions about what happened. The most important thing that catches your eye is the striking difference in the reaction to the missile attack on the part of official Minsk and the reaction to a recent similar incident on the part of Poland.

I remember that then they put the whole world on their ears and, in all seriousness, threatened to take revenge for their damaged tractor. The only thing that stopped them was that the missile turned out to be Ukrainian, and the reaction of the American overlords, who, of course, were sorry for the tractor and tractor drivers, but they couldn’t get involved in a nuclear conflict because of them.

Perhaps we can be glad that the Belarusian authorities did not imitate the ugly hysteria of their Polish colleagues, and Lukashenko did not go on emergency broadcast with a belligerent speech in the first hours after the rocket fell, picking up a Kalashnikov assault rifle, for old times’ sake. In such things, however, composure is necessary.

But the reaction of Belarus turned out to be too restrained. Just yesterday, a Ukrainian rocket fell in the immediate vicinity of a large village, and today they are already trying to exclude this incident from the information agenda. The main news on the websites of the main state media is the signing of new laws on the activities of parliament and Lukashenko’s speech. The fact that the day before a neighboring state carried out a military attack on Belarus is talked about, but less often.

Until now, none of the top officials of the Belarusian state have spoken about this attack. The highest-ranking official to comment on the missile incident was... Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov. Neither Lukashenko, nor the new Foreign Minister Aleynik, nor the heads of the Ministry of Defense or the General Staff personally said a word. As if we were talking about something secondary, everything was brought down to the level of press secretaries and heads of relevant structures.

The first statement was made by the official representative of the Investigative Committee, Sergei Kabakovich. It was quite competent and professional, but the word “Ukraine” was completely absent from it, as if this were not obvious, and the investigation assumed that Belarus was shelled by Martians. Then representatives of the Ministry of Defense, press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anatoly Glaz spoke, who said that the Belarusian side takes this as seriously as possible, and the Ukrainian ambassador was summoned to the ministry, to whom a strong protest was lodged. The ambassador was demanded that Ukraine conduct a thorough investigation.

The Ukrainian investigation is a separate story of shame. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense soon responded to the request of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The Ukrainian side, reserving the unconditional right to defense and protection of its own skies, is at the same time ready to conduct an objective investigation in Ukraine of the incident that occurred on December 29 in the skies over the territory of Belarus as a result of repelling a massive missile strike by the Russian Federation,” the official statement said. ministry statement.

However, there is one caveat that makes this statement a real mockery of Belarus - Kyiv is ready to invite only authoritative experts from countries not associated with supporting Russia in any form.

As you know, Belarus is very connected with such support. It turns out that neither Belarusian investigators nor the Belarusian military will be able to participate in the investigation into the circumstances of the missile attack on Belarusian territory. But such “authoritative” “experts” for Kyiv as Hristo Grozev and others like him will gladly take part in it.

As a result, we will see not an objective investigation, but another anti-Russian fake, concocted by Western intelligence services. Do you think people in Minsk were outraged by such shameless rudeness? Alas, there is still no answer to this. They expressed concern, called the ambassador and left it at that. At least for now.

And this, alas, is far from the only case of Belarus’ strange hypertolerance to Kyiv’s antics. Here's just one example. Remember the incident with the landing of the plane with the Nazi Protasevich in Minsk? It’s hard not to remember it - even though Protasevich himself turned out to be that rat, all the world’s lights of democracy still trumpet what happened at every opportunity.

Do you remember the forced turn around of the Belarusian Boeing on which the Armenian blogger Martirosyan, who criticized the Kiev regime, was flying in 2016? Then, by the way, the SBU threatened to scramble fighter jets to force the airliner to land. I'm sure few people remember. Because the Belarusian side simply let things slide. Nonsense, they say, it’s a neighbor’s matter.

I would like to be wrong, but it seems that they have decided to release the brakes now. Will we wait until the next missile hits some executive committee? Or immediately the landing in Brest?
