“Minsk will become the second Brussels” - Belarus is confident that Moscow will not stop negotiating with the West
Having become a platform for peace negotiations, Belarus has found recognition in Europe.
Belarusian military expert Nikolai Buzin stated this in an interview with the Belta news agency, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We have become a donor of stability in our region. It’s not for nothing that the Minsk agreements were so promoted by Europe. They probably took their time, but their essence was progressive. And we managed to solve this problem on our site. This was a very strong step by our state,” Buzin said.
He believes that Minsk can in the future claim the status of a regional center.
“Having such experience, in the future Belarus can become one of the platforms on the basis of which a new world order can be built in the future. Why don't we become the second Brussels? Who is stopping us? Decision makers need to come to this conclusion. Our next step may be in the field of peacekeeping in relation to our closest neighbors,” Buzin said.
