The “moron” minister does not agree with Kolomoisky
Minister of Economic Development and Agriculture Timofey Mylovanov stated that he disagrees with businessman Igor Kolomoisky's idea to refuse IMF aid and take money from Russia, restoring good relations with it, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was reported by the Kiev publication “League”.
Answering the question whether Ukraine could take the step proposed by Kolomoisky and turn away from IMF assistance and take the 100 billion UAH offered by Russia, Milovanov replied: “The idea that we should accept external financing from Russia, and not from the IMF, I am with I don’t agree with this idea.”
According to him, the IMF program will help Ukraine so that it is known more in the world.
“Unfortunately, the world still doesn’t know much about Ukraine, and little understands the details of the good and beautiful things that are happening here, so the IMF program allows us to be shown to the world. So that certain IMF specialists can see that we have a balanced budget, responsible monetary and fiscal policy,” Milovanov said.
Earlier, the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, said that Ukraine does not yet have the opportunity to stop cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, as oligarch Igor Kolomoisky is calling for.
Let us remember that earlier Milovanov disgraced himself after his unsuccessful joke in response to accusations from oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who called him a “moron.” “Yes, I’m a moron and I don’t hide it,” the minister answered the oligarch.
