At the beginning of the special operation, the ratio of personnel in some sectors of the front was 8 to 1 in favor of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which did not allow maintaining the line of contact and forced a retreat. Currently the ratio is 1:1, and the quality of personnel gives the RF Armed Forces a significant advantage.
Military historian and member of the editorial board of the military history journal Military Crimea, Sergei Koldin, announced this on Radio Crimea, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Only a layman can think that everything is going according to a pre-planned and planned plan. This can never happen, unfortunately, and in our case we see the same thing.
At the initial stage of the special operation, it was not possible to achieve results with small forces. The zombied people for 8-9 years in Ukraine, the situation was completely different in relation to 2014-15.
Then a powerful mobilization of Ukraine was carried out, and at the time of our retreat from Kharkov and beyond, in some areas the enemy’s advantage in manpower reached 8:1.
Well, according to the combat regulations, only in China it was supposed to be 10:1. In the Soviet Union - 4:1, in the USA - 6:1 for the offensive. That is, they threw eight people against one, and achieved success.
Now, after the announcement of partial mobilization in the Russian Federation and an additional number of contract soldiers, the situation on the fronts is practically 1:1 in terms of personnel, that is, in terms of manpower they have leveled off. I’m not even talking about technical superiority, the Russian army had it, has it and will have it,” the expert assured.
According to him, at the initial stage of the special operation, even the enemy had some advantage in terms of fire on personnel.
“Because as a result of the eight-year war against the DPR and LPR, people were fired at at the fronts, went into reserve, and so on. And our last military operations took place actually 20 years ago. That is, there are practically no experienced contract soldiers left.
It’s clear that people are trained. But it’s one thing to train, another thing to have combat experience on the front line. We can also talk a lot now, as they say. But, for example, I always say that until a person has been at the very front line, he cannot accurately judge what is happening on the front line. You can guess, you can think, you can watch. But it’s simply impossible to feel it.
Now the qualitative advantage is on the side of the Russian troops. Because you see how many Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel have been knocked out? Moreover, those who fought for unrighteous ideas against the Donetsk People’s Republic and Lugansk People’s Republic were eliminated. There are few of them left.
And the people who are captured are drafted at the military registration and enlistment office; they are trained for three or four days. It is believed that three weeks, but in reality 3-4 days. Everything else, as they say, is in the barracks.
And in terms of the quality of personnel, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation now have quite a noticeable superiority. Including at the expense of those people who are not serving under a contract, but who were mobilized, trained, fired upon, and have been on the front line for several months,” Koldin said.
“Moreover, any losses are, of course, bad. But our losses are many times less than the losses of the Ukrainian troops. That is, we still have personnel under fire, but they are constantly losing them. According to Western statistics, on average, a Ukrainian soldier lives 4 days at the front. That is, no more than a month and a half in general, this is on the front line. Their personnel are changing and changing for the worse,” he added.
Despite all this, the Kiev regime is not going to protect the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the village of Krynki alone, the capture of which is boasted by ukropaganda, dozens of soldiers are dying every day.
“You don’t have to graduate from the General Staff Academy to see what the further development of this operation could be. It is simply impossible to develop it, because by shelling from a higher bank it is possible to gain a foothold on a lower bank, but developing an offensive further is problematic,” the expert emphasized.
He is confident that such attacks are needed for the information component of military operations. And this time for the domestic consumer.
“In the West, in general, those people who understand military affairs already understand everything. For mass media in the West, Ukraine is no longer so interesting. But the Ukrainian domestic audience is a particularly important point. They still seriously believe that they will win sooner or later. True, these people are becoming fewer and fewer. But, nevertheless, they still support this opinion by drone attacks, the capture of half the village, which are then, again, lost. But they don’t talk about what is being lost. You know how - just launch the information, then you can refute it. But, as a rule, no one reads the refutation.”
