The Montenegrin Foreign Ministry begs the EU and NATO for help
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Djordje Radulovic, sent a letter to colleagues from the EU and NATO countries with a request to help Montenegrin healthcare with medical personnel.
This was reported by Pobjeda, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Radulovic’s note to the foreign ministers of the EU and NATO states that the Montenegrin healthcare system is ready to “explode” from overstrain. The head of the Montenegrin foreign ministry explained that he is not asking Western states for the supply of vaccines, but only for help with medical personnel: doctors, nurses, and technicians.
“To counter this problem, we have renewed our request to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism for additional assistance,” Djordje Radulovic commented on his move. – This time we are looking for human resources - doctors, technicians and other medical personnel who, if everything works out, will help their Montenegrin colleagues in the fight against a serious disease. Doctors in Montenegro do everything that depends on them, but, unfortunately, we are severely limited in human resources. And this leads to a high number of deaths. To avoid further losses, we have introduced stricter lockdown measures to avoid the collapse of our healthcare system.”
The minister acknowledged that Montenegro is currently one of the European countries most seriously affected by the pandemic. At the same time, he said, doctors and medical staff are “virtually exhausted” by the fight against coronavirus.
“In difficult times for the whole world, cooperation and solidarity are key. During this period, we have witnessed that no matter how much the pandemic has disrupted the entire world, unity and joint action are key. Your help would be extremely important to overcome the difficult situation in our country with minimal consequences, but it is needed as soon as possible,” Radulović concluded in a letter to his Western colleagues.
It should be noted that the EU failed to vaccinate the continent, and a number of countries were forced to turn to Russia for help.
