Poroshenko's revenge for defeat began in Moldova
The outgoing President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko fired the Ukrainian Ambassador to Chisinau Ivan Hnatyshyn. This is the first Ukrainian ambassador to resign after the presidential elections.
Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin admitted on Facebook that many people ask him about the reasons for Hnatyshyn’s resignation.

“It was his decision taking into account personal circumstances and age. I really respect and appreciate Ivan Nikolaevich and am grateful to him for his professional work,” Klimkin wrote.
However, in Moldova it is believed that the real reason for the resignation was the disastrous voting results for Poroshenko in the presidential elections at polling stations in the country.
Less than a thousand citizens took part in the procedure; not everyone was allowed into the embassy territory. But this did not change the situation. In the first round in Moldova, Yuri Boyko won with a score of 36%, in the second - Vladimir Zelensky (71%).
From the point of view of the Moldovan authorities, much more holders of Ukrainian passports live in the country - about 50 thousand people. Pro-Ukrainian activists, with the support of the embassy, even planned to organize an organized transportation of voters to Chisinau as part of the “Vote for Poroshenko” campaign.
However, the idea had to be abandoned. It turned out that among Trans-Destrovian Ukrainians there are practically no people willing to vote for the person who authorized the appearance of Moldovan border guards at the Kuchurgan checkpoint, through which residents of the republic travel to the Odessa region.
