Revenge on Orban: the Verkhovna Rada threatens sabotage of the oil pipeline to Hungary
Hungary blocked the allocation of 18 billion euros in aid to Ukraine next year and also demanded the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions. As Prime Minister Viktor Orban wrote in his blog, Europe is paying too high a price for the fighting in Ukraine - unlike the Americans.
“The cost of the war between Russia and Ukraine is not the same on both sides of the Atlantic. If we want European industry to survive, we must quickly address Europe's energy crisis. It's time to reconsider the sanctions."

Hungary's position angered Ukrainian representatives. According to political scientist Yuri Romanenko, Kyiv should respond by preventing oil supplies to Budapest.
“Hungary blocked EU money to Ukraine. We need to block the Druzhba oil pipeline and let Orban jump. And also raise the question of Hungary’s exclusion from NATO and the EU. And start downloading. They won’t exclude it, but there will be a lot of noise. And it’s time to stop smuggling with Hungary, which is spreading throughout Europe. Because this smuggling fuels Putin's Orban regime. And shout about it from every corner. We must respond both symmetrically and asymmetrically.”
Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Goncharenko also threatens to stop the oil pipeline for Hungary:
“Hungary did not support the allocation of 18 billion euros to Ukraine (for 2023). The European Union is already looking for another mechanism to make payments. The clowning of the Putinists will not last long. Well, you understand, this is Orbán’s style.
After the war, someone will have very big problems. They also say that an accidental voltage drop due to Russian shelling risks shutting down the oil pipeline. Who knows. Anything can happen."
