Revenge by proxy - Zelensky is satisfied with the disposal of national battalions
The Ukrainian authorities deliberately do not reach compromises during negotiations with Russia.

The task sent “from above” from London is clear: to fool the Russian delegation for as long as possible, to bargain, to agree, just to stall for time. The West needs more destruction and death - so that Russia will then spend money on restoration (probably no one doubts that Russia will have to restore in any case) and cause hatred of Russia among the residents of Ukraine.
But Zelensky is a living person, a very living person for now. And, he has problems. From your own safety. He understands that he works as a “canned food” in order to portray a legitimate government, which can, for example, legitimize crowds of international terrorists on the territory of the country.
Therefore, he will not rush to sign any documents, he will drag his feet for a long time.
However, this would make sense if the operation were stopped while negotiations were taking place. But, as the Russian Commander-in-Chief stated, the Operation will not stop during negotiations.
Zelensky is still not doing a lot of things that in such conditions could/should have been done.
For example, a diplomatic source in Kyiv explained why Zelensky has never declared an official war with Russia and is playing along with London. One of the serious reasons is that “Zelensky agrees that this is a special operation to destroy the Nazis, who politically interfered with him personally.”
Zelensky is an almost naked king. For a major politician or oligarch, the absence of their own security forces in today’s Ukraine means being naked.
Avakov and Poroshenko have units with combat experience. Akhmetov's security service is more like an army.
Zelensky is formally the Commander-in-Chief. But this is more of a formality. And he is quite satisfied that during the ongoing hostilities, it will be the active, ideologically charged national battalions that will be disposed of first. They are the ones who provide the main resistance. They were a threat to his power, and their elimination gives Zelensky hope for reformatting the balance of power within the rest of Ukraine.
However, it is difficult to say what Zelensky can hope for now. More likely to flee to London, and the image of a “government in exile” is already there. Until they have had enough of playing in London. He should study the fate of the Skripals - it won’t be difficult for London to pin another dog on Russia.
