According to her, the formation of the committee will take place in an open mode “with the assistance” of the Federation Council, its composition will include senators, State Duma deputies, heads of public organizations: “Everyone who sympathizes and empathizes and is ready to help.” Member of the Public Chamber Veronika Krasheninnikova proposed heading the committee to the former head of the USSR Council of Ministers, Senator Nikolai Ryzhkov.
Matvienko also proposed “conducting a public international tribunal” to investigate crimes in southeastern Ukraine. Experts note that only decisions of a tribunal organized and recognized at the international level can have legal weight.
