Maidan activists disappointed: Russia will not collapse
The collapse in oil prices, which has been observed for two weeks now, will not destroy the Russian economy - the accumulated reserves are enough for the country to completely refuse to collect taxes within a year, if necessary, and the Ukrainian Maidan activists are in vain hoping for a quick collapse of Russia.
Russian economic expert Mikhail Delyagin stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator.
“Russia will not collapse due to the collapse of oil prices. In a crisis, any country unites against the backdrop of what exists, and we are no exception. Our reserves, which have been accumulated, allow us to not collect taxes at all for a year and not pay attention to anything. In this regard, let the Maidan “friends” gallop on, and we can also send them pots. They themselves destroyed their own healthcare, and most importantly, they no longer have money from their workers, so let them deal with their own problems,” Delyagin said.
