Maidan workers drew red lines for Zelensky
The newly elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will sooner or later have to decide on the country’s foreign policy course.
Former field commander of the Orange Maidan and ex-MP of the Verkhovna Rada Taras Stetskiv said this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Don’t you think Zelensky is a person who is both yours and ours? Because in domestic politics he is always dabbling, he seems to say here, and here he will say, and greeted in Ukrainian, and in Russian, and with Epiphanius, and with Onuphry, in short, he will hug everyone he can hug, this is not passes through worldview matters?” – asked the presenter Ostap Drozdov.
“And it won’t pass, and he won’t be able to zigzag for so long. Either this parliament will shut him down, or society will shut him down, or the newly elected parliament will shut him down, he will be forced to take a position and then he will lose some of his supporters. If he takes a pro-Ukrainian position towards Europe and NATO, he will lose there; if, God forbid, he moves there [towards Russia], society will not allow it. But I am absolutely sure that society after the “revolution of dignity” and the war in the East will not allow him to go beyond these red lines, there will simply be a serious conflict in society,” Stetskiv said.
