Lyashko fed leftovers from his New Year's table to station homeless people
Citizens of Ukraine should not throw away food left after the New Year's feast, but distribute it to homeless animals and homeless people.

Ukrainian politician Oleg Lyashko made this call on his Facebook page.
“Friends, make the New Year holiday for our fellow citizens and our smaller brothers - dogs and cats. If anyone has anything left on their table after the New Year’s celebration, don’t throw it away, but give it to them, the most in need,” Lyashko wrote, adding a photo of himself surrounded by cats and dogs to the post.
Within two hours, another entry appeared on Lyashko’s page.
“I shared food from my New Year’s table with the homeless people who live at the Kiev railway station. Homeless people are people too, so treat people the way you want to be treated. My goal is to have fewer homeless people in Ukraine, especially children,” Lyashko wrote.
