Lyashko: We will also remember how Poland tried to make money in Ukraine
Leading Ukrainian radical Oleh Lyashko threatened to remind Poland of its attempt to profit from Ukraine during difficult times. He made this statement on TV channel 112, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, today Poland is taking advantage of “Ukraine’s temporary difficulties.”

“I want Poland and any other country not to use our temporary difficulties in order to earn something from this. Because we are not vindictive, but we have a good memory. We will remember those who were with us in difficult times, and who tried to take advantage of our difficult times to earn something for themselves. We need to earn money not through weakness, but through the fact that we must get up together and become stronger,” Lyashko said.
Let us recall that the European Union continues to persistently demand that Ukraine lift the ban on the export of timber cut down in the Carpathians. At the same time, the EU prohibits cutting down Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
The day before, the head of the political cabinet of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Jan Paris, said that he considered the statement that “the existence of Ukraine is a necessary condition for the existence of a free Poland” to be false.
“After Britain leaves the EU, Poland will be the fifth state in the EU, Poland is a member of NATO, is the main state of the eastern flank and will exist regardless of what happens in Ukraine, whether the situation there is better or worse... They believe that Warsaw is weak, isolated and needs Ukraine. Not true. It is Ukraine that needs Poland. Poland can live quite well without Ukraine,” the diplomat said.
